SAKURA is a nucleotide sequence data submission system through the WWW
server at DDBJ.
SAKURA has been open to public and continuously refined since 1995.
Using this system, you can interactively enter and submit nucleotide and
translated amino acid sequences, functions and features of the sequences,
and references as well as your name, affiliation and address.

Important We at DDBJ recommend using Mass Submission System (MSS) when:
  • the submission consists of large number of sequences.
  • the complex submission containing many features (more than 30).
  • the submission with long sequences.

Modification of registration data
SAKURA only accepts new submissions.

We cannot accept the modification request before we assign you our accession number, except for the following 3 cases;

  1. Cancellation of submitted sequence
  2. Sequence error
  3. Wrongly choosing [immediately release]
If your modification corresponds to the cases above, please contact sakura-admin@ddbj.nig.ac.jp with your EntryID.

Requesting updates for data which the accession number is already assigned, please mail to ddbjupdt@ddbj.nig.ac.jp.
